Man, we only got 3 more episodes left of this season. We also finally get to see Operation Ragnarok.

Honestly one of the greatest anime ever. Not only because "Iserlohn Fortress" is named after my city, Iserlohn ;D

I feel as though the most intresting part for me is how democracy of Free planets Alliance deals with the threat of the empire and its domestic polotics, i wish i got to see more of it then i have.

Esenpai • 1 year ago

The original goes into more depth in, pretty much, every aspect of the storytelling.

satania • 1 year ago

cool but is there more of the Empire shit becuse i will be honest i dont give fuck about the Empire nobels and the reorgnization. I think how Democracy deals with agressive Milltrized Empire, who is shifting its Identinty to a more meritocratic state is Intresting. This part of the story i am intrested in, but if the story is still Empire Focused i will rather watch this waterd down version.

Esenpai • 1 year ago

It goes into more detail with regards to the empire as well. Mostly from a civil war and, like you said, transitional perspective but the majority of the focus is definitely on the existential struggles between an increasingly corrupt democracy and an increasingly meritocratic dictatorship. In addition to that dichotomy much of the rest of the focus is on the simultaneous rises to glory of Reinhard and Yang and their brilliant feats.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that the original is a masterpiece, there's only a handful of anime I would describe as such. I honestly can't recommend it enough.

Anime007 • 1 year ago

Ok will definitely watch it due to your passionate recommendation.

A lot of commoners seem to be joining the empire army due to their fears of losing the change.

Things are about to get serious. The admirals bring up some good points, they can't trust Fezzan, and they don't know their interior motives. Yang already predicted this, so it's going to happen, and it's going to be difficult anyway.

Yang and Reinhard working together? That'll be something else.

I wouldn't trust Fezzan either, so I'm glad the admirals are wary of them and preparing for the worst-case scenario.

They're aware of Julian, but Rupert is underestimating what Julian is capable of.
It has happened, an eight-month-old baby has become the emperor.

blahblahblahblahblah
This season and most of the previous have been almost only empty blahblah.
This is by far the slowest anime I've ever watched.
If I would not watch it at 1.25x speed I would grow roots from boredom.
How many freaking seasons do they plan on making before this story actually goes somewhere?

Would you rather me a govt lap dog that would listen & obey every orders of the top boss, with that orders can be for positive or evil instructions?
Or be a critic that stood up for the right things even though you would do whatever it takes to put a stop to despotism by doing something with the means of using polite or violence because you think yourself is right & they are doing wrong things?
All I could see right now is that Yang Wen-Li is reminding himself not to be a dictator even if he's already sick with the Elites & wicked politician & his guts saying that he need to bring them down for good!
While on the hand, Im seeing Reinhad von Lohengramm is doing anything by justifying Machiavellianism of resorting force to protect the order. Leaning a bit to Rudolph leadership but still within the boundary.
Man, Im so fed up with too many theories & questions that have yet to be answered in this series.
SO MUCH PLOT TWIST YALL!!! 😵‍💫😵‍💫
